As former tennis players, the five of us did not get into the pickleball scene lightly. Truthfully, when we first saw it played, we didn’t think it would be of interest to us at all. That all changed as soon as we stepped foot on a court. We quickly saw why this sport was catching like wildfire.
The competitive and fun parts of the sport were clearly there. Pair this with an amazingly unique social component and we were hooked! We ended up putting away our tennis rackets and from then on, became pickleball enthusiasts.
As we travelled around SWMO playing anywhere we could, we quickly became known as the Monett Boys. A moniker we love because we are proud of our little town and were happy to represent at pickleball courts around the area. We had a blast playing and making new friends everywhere we went.
After a couple of years of rec play, tournaments, and an outright addiction to this game, we started to notice the difficulty in finding quality places to play indoors. During longer drives to and from facilities in the area, we began discussing a crazy dream of opening up our own place someday. A place that prioritized the game with beautiful, professionally surfaced courts. But we didn’t stop dreaming there. We wanted to incorporate our fun-loving personalities. We loved the times spent with new friends after playing; sharing food, drinks, stories, and laughs.
That’s where the Hub was born. The first and only dedicated indoor pickleball facility in the area. A place that pairs a lounge with each court for you to enjoy the game and the people you love. It’s our great honor to be able to bring this vision to life for you. So whether you’re a curious beginner or a seasoned player, we hope to be your pickleball home. Welcome to the Hub!
